Vintage charm and kitch isn’t just for adults. Vintage and Retro inspired baby rooms are becoming more and more common. They are also a fun way to fill your babies first memories full of quaint little items that maybe you remember from your own childhood.

OK, I know there is some very rational concern circulating about introducing children to older toys, and furniture due changes in safety standards through the years. Here is my suggestion. Use common sense. Its true you really don’t want your chickadee to put a toy with lead paint in their mouth. Leave the toys/items on a shelf/shadow box and only allow for actual play at your own discretion. I suggest supervised play, So nothing goes into a little mouth. OR for display only.

2nd Street Emporium has a variety of vintage baby items to make any nursery a sweet little trip down memory lane.

Here are some adorable nurseries I ran across in the blogs!

Sweet vintage inspired baby girl room
This blog has a great idea for creating a little clothes line above the crib . 2nd St. Emporium has vintage baby boy clothes that would look great hung like this in a baby boy’s room. They would also look great as a valence.

Retro baby boy’s room
This is just the cutest room! I love the way the vintage toys add pops of color to the room!
